Houston Rapper Big Moe Dies At 33
Houston artist Kenneth Moore, (known as Big Moe) died early October 14th due to complications from a heart attack, sources revealed to Allhiphop. Moore suffered a heart attack on October 7th and had been in a coma every since, enduring seven days on life support before succumbing to his illness. Big Moe was a member of Houston's well known Screwed Up Click, and was best known for his 2002 song "Purple Stuff". While Moe never enjoyed huge mainstream success, he paved the way for other Houston artists such as, Lil Flip, Paul Wall, and Mike Jones to break through into America's homes.
"Big Moe was one of the pioneers of the Screwed Up Click and the H-Town sound," Texas legend Michael "5000" Watts of Swishahouse told AllHipHop.com. "This man brought what we are on the street to the mixtapes & CD's. I'm personally honored to have had a feature from him on one of our [Swishahouse] albums."
