Hot Boyz Reunion Confirmed By B.G & Lil Wayne

Posted over 2 years ago
The Hot Boys were the biggest southern rap group of the late 90s, comprised of four men who all had successful solo careers of their own. Eventually, egos, money, and bad blood came between them and caused the inevitable breakup. Juvenile, B.G. and Lil Wayne haven't gotten together to record a new album since 1998, but a few weeks ago Wayne spilled the beans that they were hooking up for a new album. Most fans chose not to hold their breath, but now B.G. has publicly jumped on the bandwagon.

“We was Hot Boys then, now we Hot Men,” B.G. stated. “We all went our separate ways and proved we can stand on our own — Lil Wayne, B.G., Juvenile. And Turk is coming [out of jail] soon. We’re all relevant. I know the streets have been demanding it. They wanted it. I did a vote, went out in the public and asked. They’re condoning me, pushing me to do it. Why not give it to them? Hip-hop could appreciate it right now. Why not?”
While the members appear to be willing to drop another album, the business side has yet to be finalized. Three of the members refuse to release the album on Cash Money Records, due to past disagreements. The label situation will prove to be the final, and biggest hurdle the new album faces before release.
When these men will actually find the time to release the album is also a problem. Lil Wayne's new album The Carter III will be released in December, B.G.'s new album ‘Too Hood to Be Hollywood’ drops in February, and theres a collaborative album with Juelz Santana on the way. Where will they find time to release them all?
