My Contribution to Hip Hop Thursdays.It's hard to explain the allure of Cam'Ron to someone who isn't really familiar with his work. Have you ever seen a movie that was *so horrible* that it came full circle on the scale of filth and overlapped into something brilliant?.. That's what Cam'Ron is to hip hop music.
This song "Get Em Girls" is a perfect example. The lyrics are dismal, elementary, but at the same time, its fucking genius in a retarded-kid-who-hits-8-three-pointers-in-a-row kind of way. What he's saying is so ridiculously funny that it grows on you. In the very first line of the song, he lets you know you're in for something special.*"I get the boosters boostin'I get computers 'putin"*Up until this point, I had never heard anyone say they made a computer "pute". Hilarious.
