Fugees Member Pras Becomes Homeless For Documentary

Posted over 4 years ago
Pras of the Fugees adopted the life of a homeless person for one week, in participation of his documentary Skid Row. The musician took up residency on in the infamous Los Angeles neighborhood, which houses one of the largest concentration of homeless individuals in the country. Informal population estimates place anywhere from 7,000 to 8,000 transients within the boundaries of skid row.
In the film, Pras captures some first person accounts from others who live there to give a little insight to their lifestyle. Screen Media is releasing this film in L.A., D.C., and N.Y starting August 24th. The film was shot last year, since then Pras has launched PrAsperity, which is a non-profit organization that jump-starts awareness and solutions for people in need.
