A Dream About The Moon

Posted over 5 years ago
"If banjos were balloons, this might be the sound" says the band page. The truth is that Jordan has an equilibristic voice that flutters its way among floating velocipedes, paper dirigibles and other flying machines. Jordan also has a banjo named Lucy, a button down sweater, musical friends, and melodies and lyrics that constantly take you back ninety years while shaking you awake again into his present day dreamland. If you ever get the chance to see him play live, don't miss it. http://www.myspace.com/jordanojordanmusic

  2. chucky says When it rains in the mogos, it pours. This is the fifth artist I've made note of to check out in the last few hours. The stuff on his myspace is mesmerizing. But I think it may have been his influences that really got me curious: The songs come from imaginary conversations among Kermit the Frog, Mama Cass, Coco Chanel, Pete Seeger, various old flames who are now ghosts, neighborhood trees, new suitor ghosts, and Dorothy Parker. And sometimes I listen to a lot of Jolie Holland while these conversations are happening.

  3. ookpik says My first thought while listening was "I bet this guy listens to a lot of Jolie Holland" and there you go. His music sounds pretty nice.
