One of my favorite releases of 2006 came from
Metric's lead singer Emily Haines. This release she always puts second to her Metric work -- but I love it ten times more. She has a soft lyrical voice, like a sad lamenting Regina Spektor.I love the way she writes and I love her lyrics (bras started burning up ribs in the sixties). She has a great view on the world and, long story short, give her a listen and go buy the entire album.You'll listen to it forever.
