"How come you don't come PLP with me down at the meters no more?"
I remember asking, " What the heck does PLP mean, mom?"
She shrugged and had to ask one of her hip friends.
"Public leaning post, son." Which then made perfect sense to me. I like to do that, too.
And then I could sing the whole song without feeling like I was in the out crowd. And Oh man, Steve Gadd brings the groove back in from that break with what was first to be considered a mistake! Kudos to 2nd opinions!
What a song! Timeless. The whole album is a great listen through. One of my prize cd gifts, burned and copied from a friend. (Not Ashamed. We have the vinyl somehwere.)
