Mmm, Talk Talk were awesome in whatever style they were playing at the time. They truly never got the credit they deserved.

Talk Talk is STILL in heavy rotation around my house.

I just can't let go of a group that was so good. I refuse.

Like Japan, it is a little hard to see how Talk Talk transformed into the group that produced Spirit of Eden but both groups changed in a very deep way, and both became far more influential than anyone could have guessed. Of course, old photos of U2 or Small Faces, much less an unlined face of Keith, remind us all that time changes everything... Thanks for the trip down memory lane, Misstee!

if you have not heard Mark Hollis's 1998 solo album "Mark Hollis" you will totally understand where "Spirit of Eden" came from.  its what he wanted to do always and reflects his lifelong taste in music.

the rythym section of Paul Webb and Lee Harris went on to for O'Rang, which takes the "Life is What You Make It" sound and updates it - they are funky, experimental and all that.

i always loved Talk Talk. they were quite under-appreciated when they were together as a band.
