I loved this song from the first time I laid ears on it. The voice, the clever lyric, the syncopation and particularly the backing vocals and harmonies. One of their more underrated songs - too much Perfect Way, not enough Wood Beez!

  1. Mike the Knife says Preaching to the choir here, Misstee. And no apologies necessary. This was an essential in my club DJ set when it was new-ish. Still quite awesomething...

  2. ciphermedia says This kinda retro is fine by me anyday Misstee. I have a few Scritti Politti things on vinyl, but alas, no turntable working currently. Yes, I've always liked this track too, although I have to say that the video is pretty silly...

  3. Jonh Ingham says Retro schmetro. This is just good music in that Britboy-wishes-he-was-born-in-Motown way.

  5. Misstee says 'There's nothing I wouldn't take, not even intravenous' - what a great line! I actually think I went out and bought those shoes the dancer is wearing after I saw this. Oy.
