i worked at island records/music when it was Trevor Horn's world...  that Art of Noise stuff.... he came in to the office (from the studio) one day after 40 straight hours of mixing ONE TRACK.  the guy's a machine.  a genius.

definitely WAY beyond their time --- both Art of Noise and Trevor Horn.  What about The Buggles?  It continues to confound me how Trevor Horn is soo soo cool and Geoff Downes went on to play in Asia... soo boring...

I love Trevor Horn's music and his production. Yes' Drama with Trevor Horn singing and taking the helm from Jon Anderson is a classic album. Trevor Horn may be more brilliant than Geoff Downes but if I had Age of Plastic, Drama and Asia's first album on my resume (as Downes does) I wouldn't think too low of my musical abilities even if some found my work boring.

"ZZT" spelled happiness for me, too. And I still like Matt Frewer, even out of his Max mode.
