Okay granted Nick Hornby's new book does not fall into my demographic but its always a treat to see him live...JOSH ROUSE JOINS NICK HORNBY AT BARNES & NOBLE EVENT IN NYC OCTOBER 16thBarnes & Noble's new event series, Upstairs at the Square, mixes writers and musicians for an evening of reading, music, and conversation hosted by journalist Katherine Lanpher at our Union Square store in New York. Each month, an author is paired with a musician, and on October 16th at 7pm, Josh will join Nick Hornby for this special event. Mark your calendars now as we're anticipating a packed house for this event.

emscee says Damn. I live a short walk from that B&N, and would love to see Hornby & Rouse, but just committed to a midtown thing at exactly the same time. I know the new Hornby book is geared towards kids, but I'm eager to read it nonetheless...

annieander says Hey...I didn't think this post was completely about Nick Hornby, but I thought you may want to take a listen to a short story of his, read by him. I had to split it up in a couple of takes to bypass the 15mb rule. A very cute story about a very small country. Hope you are interested.

Misstee says With the exception of the terrible moderator(one of the more brilliant questions: so all your characters deal with depression why is that?)it was fun...i did not stay for the signing - it was packed and it was going to be a long wait.
