I saw Daniel Johnston for the first time on friday. It was great. Scout Niblett, Jad Fair and James McNew from Yo La Tengo played a few songs together, then Scout, James McNew, Mark Linkous and Daniel each played a few songs. Finally all the support acts played as Daniel's backup band for a greatest hits-ish set including Walking The Cow, Casper The Friendly Ghost, True Love Will Find You In The End, Rock This Town and Devil Town among others. I hope he comes back to England again soon.
