should be on everyone's listening list now and then.

anyone who likes music should own some Coltrane. how's that for a definitive absolute statement?

(impulse! records is one of the Verve Music Group labels and Impulse! is the "house that trane built" so technically i have a work related vested interest in promoting Coltrane. my real vested interest is to get you to hear the most amazing music that influenced everyone who came after him.)

I agree completely with your thoughts on John Coltrane. Just wanted to add a little note for any Coltrane fans to check out the newly discovered recording of Thelonious Monk Quartet with John Coltrane at Carnegie Hall. It doesn't get much better than hearing these two jazz giants play together.
