Crows' Feat

Posted about 4 years ago
Dear Trusted MOG Buddies and Other Interested Parties,I enjoyed the new album by folk-rockers Counting Crows – their first in years – so thoroughly that I was compelled to post a review of it (with a live clip attached) yesterday. (You can taste the opening track “1492” by clicking the button above. Could be their most rawkin’ number ever.) Unfortunately, the MOG e-mail alerts were down when I did the posting. Now that the alerts are back, I thought I’d offer up the link in case anyone’s interested in giving the entry a look and listen:http://mog.com/Mike_the_Knife/blog_post/159395MOGfully yours,M the K

  4. Mike the Knife says Drop in to the actual review, Ms. L., and be brought up to speed. I've been living wit' it for a couple of weeks, and it's been my best pal. BTW, so pleased that the Coachella thing was so good to you. And now, the Phlyers are on the verge of more playoff success. Go Philly!

  7. getafade says August and Everything After is one of my favorite albums of all time, but the CCs haven't really grabbed me since. This track doesn't do too much for either. I'll still end up buying the album and checking it out though...

  8. Mike the Knife says getafade: There are two more songs (one studio track and one live video) at the full review post - http://mog.com/Mike_the_Knife/blog_post/159395 - if you want a couple more samples.

  9. Jonh Ingham says Jeez Mike, you should put a health warning on that track. It's 7am and my poor brain wasn't ready for that sonic onslaught and mayhem. No way I'm going back to sleep now!

  10. Mike the Knife says Jeez, Jonh. I'm so sorry. ;-) The proper review, linked above, features something a little more melodious in "Sundays." Perhaps that would calm you down...
