Hello there and stuff! If this thing tracks my listening habits is there some way to say "well I listened to that shitty indie rock record for work," and then "that old school black gospel thing I listened to for work also but I love it"? Probably not. Anyay, I'm Mike, I live in Portland, OR and I publish/ edit YETI. Write about music for a living, mostly for the giants of ecommerce, sometimes for Bookforum or elsewhere. My 33 1/3 book on 'Loveless' is recently published, next I'm editing a collection of my old 'zine 'Chemical Imbalance' and preparing a book on sanctified blues. Super psyched about this year's EMP Pop Studies Conference, trying to figure how to get to NYC before the Martin Ramirez show ends, and how to pay the IRS for back taxes nonsense (pretty much my fault but def. a bummer). Sometimes I blog at buked.blogspot.yaddayadda. OK back to work.
