She may be on the road, but that hasn't stopped Patti Smith from writing material for an album of original material she hopes to record soon.
Smith is planning a tribute concert for her late husband, MC5 guitarist Fred "Sonic" Smith, on his birthday - Sept. 13 - in New York."It's time for me to make a record, "she told Billboard. ""I've been working on a lot of songs so I'd like to record again."
