“In Cold Blood” Inspires Bad Religion

Posted almost 5 years ago
A digital single off the upcoming Bad Religion album, New Maps Of Hell, will be released as a for sale digital download on June 12th. The song, “Honest Goodbye,” was inspired by “the life and crimes of Perry Smith, the murderer made famous by Truman Capote's classic novel ‘In Cold Blood,’ according to the Epitaph Records web site. "The song questions how a man with seemingly gentle and artistic sensibilities comes to commit brutally heinous crimes," explains Gurewitz. "It's an emotional song to me that delves into the humanity of forgiveness and retribution."For more details about the album, which will be released July 10, check out MOG’s previous post:http://mog.com/Michael_Goldberg/blog_post/52729Epitaph’s Bad Religion page:http://www.epitaph.com/news/news/2858
