Dead’s Bob Weir To Play Free Earth Day Concert

Grateful Dead singer/guitarist Bob Weir and his band, RatDog, will play a free concert in San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park as part of a three-day, three-city Green Apple Music and Arts Festival. Also appearing for free in the park will be Martin Sexton, The Greyboy Allstars and Stephen Marley. Other cities participating are Chicago and New York. Golden Gate Park has been the site of free concerts and events since the mid-‘60s; the Human Be-In, for instance, held in 1967 included the Grateful Dead and the Quicksilver Messenger Service.For more info:http://www.greenapplefestival.com/Weir and RatDog will also be playing the 4/27/07 Scottsdale, AZ McDowell Mountain Music Festival in Scottsdale Az on April 27 and at Bonnaroo in mid-June.
