Blind Faith’s Hyde Park Concert Due On DVD
-
Artist:
Blind Faith, the ‘super group’ comprised of Eric Clapton, Steve Winwood, Rick Grech and Ginger Baker, released just one album, 1969’s Blind Faith.
The controversial cover of Blind Faith. The group was supposed to take what Clapton and Baker had done in Cream to another level. But the album didn’t quite live up to the hype, containing only one truly classic track, “Can’t Find My Way Home.” The group debuted at Hyde Park in London on June 7, 1969 with an audience of 100,000 blissed-out fans. Now, 37 years later, a DVD of that concert will be released. The disk, due out September 19, 2006, includes performances of “Presence of the Lord,” “Can’t Find My Way Home” and a cover of the Stones’ “Under My Thumb.”
