Ugh, this is the first dud yet from TVOTR, in my mind.
I am very keen to hear the direction of the rest of the album.
As always, tho I haven't necessarily the time to comment, I do listen and am grateful. Particularly for this. Hope all is well:)
I'm not sure about this one.
I mean, I'm sure there is some magic number of drinks I could consume where this would make me want to dance rather than cock that one lofty eyebrow because of all of the cluttered, obnoxious sounds that I can't seem to straighten out to something meaningful or enjoyable, nor ignore.
Ten drinks? Thirteen? Half a bottle of absinthe has had me dancing to absolutely no sound at all, so that might do it.
The term "sonic trainwreck" comes to mind...but that was just the first two times around. I'll give it a go 'round one more time.
yeah i don't like this song....ekk....
sounds like they are influenced by old school Run DMC....and other early 90s rap....and the Beastie Boys....and "The End of the World As We Know it"
I love TV on The Radio tho....they'll shape it wicked.
(incredible number of plays on this one eh?)
Ya, I definitely agree... the rapping sounds really unauthentic and quite forced. Err... dont know aobut this. I bet the rest of the album is good tho.
Incur: I agree with you tho.. this would sound really good on a night out!
from the NPR standpoint, they're loving it... "if this is rock-rap I want to hear more..."
I personally am not so sure... think they might need to remain seperate. Lincoln Park anyone??
'. . .foam injected Axl Rose . . .' ahahahaha, I love it! A very interesting direction for TVOTR, I like it. It reminds me ALOT of the band !!! w/their dance punk esthetic.
read about them and got really curious, but i forgot to search for some music of them.. this sounds nice, not awesome, but quite good. is this a single or just a random track?
Oops, I misspelled aesthetic!
