It's been 16 years since we've gotten a new B-52's album. The wait will be over March 25. Meanwhile here's the tile track.

  1. John Madden says I like this - I heard it on the radio on my way in to work this morning. It's catchy and jangly and it's exactly what those of us who are really only casual fans of the B-52s would expect. Thanks!

  7. littlebibs says Funplex is the new single from the long awaited B-52s return to the mainstream, well whats left of it anyhow. Since there last hits back in the early 90's music has certainly changed but listening to this new single off the forthcoming FUNPLEX 11 song collection due out March 25, this new single is a welcome return from one of the originators of new wave, rock and so many styles inbetween they made their own. With Funplex, we're talking the mall here, guess they call them funplex's down south but this song is typical 52s zany, with great lyrics and and of course the harmonizing and individual takes of Kate Pierson and Cindy Wilson (don't forget Fred Schnieder's one liners!) and should find itself a nice spot on radio that isn't afraid to step out of the stale mold its been in for years. I've heard many of the new songs, Juliet of the Spirits, Pump, Love in the year 3000 and Hot corner to name a few of the highlights this one is going to be right up their with their best. This has to be the Comeback of the Year hands down.

  8. DCinFrance says I too have been a casual fan. Back then, I thought, original retro. Great...love the presentation, but where can this go? Having heard this first single, it sounds fresh, though no mistaking it's from the '52s. I'll be looking for this CD. I want to hear where they've taken what they started.

  9. primopowers says Not as good as Planet Clair, 52 Girls, Private Idaho but better than Love Shack. Looking fowrd to hearing the rest.

  10. Michael Goldberg says It's great to hear them back in action, and the girls sound good, song is pretty cool but in the beginning there was a dark desperation to some of the songs that I really dug. Go back listen to "Dance This Mess Around" and it's as tragic in terms of emotional feel as "Remember (Walkin' In the Sand)" or "Be My Baby."

  11. primopowers says Will do. The only CD of theirs I have in Time Capsul. Everything else I have is on vinal but no record player.
