Steve Earle has a new album coming out May 12 called Townes. The whole album is Earle covering songs written by the late great songwriter, Townes Van Zandt. Earle is a major Townes Van Zandt fan. He once said, "Townes Van Zandt is the best songwriter in the whole world and I'll stand on Bob Dylan's coffee table in my cowboy boots and say that."
