Just my first post

Well first off, Timbaland is GOD. I specifically look for songs he produced. I bet I have the most Timbo produced on here (I could be wrong). Anything he touches is a hit in my eyes.Lupe Fiasco has the best rap album I've EVER heard. I loved all his tracks. Including a second burned CD i made with tracks of his not on the album.City High is my all-time favorite slept on CD.Aaliyah has the best taste in R&B that I've heard, and that also goes for the tracks not produced by Timbaland.I'm getting really bothered by the rap thats being played now. I like it, but it dominates the radio, stores, tv, and everywhere. There needs to be some balance, I compare rap thats mostly played nowadays to eating the same food everyday for a week, yeah eating a hamburger is good 2 days in a row, but you will get sick of it. And with me, the problem with the other rap like Common and the like is I don't like their production in general. Why is it that Common, Nas, and others like them don't work with people like Timbaland, Neptunes, and Lil Jon? Those producers are good and could do a great job. Nas's latest album is pretty good production-wise for a change, Lupe is good in general, and Kanye is great.Well thats enough random thoughts, just wanted to break the ice.

  1. chucky says Welcome:) It's good to see fresh blood. I'm not a huge hip-hop fan, but it seems I can always recognize a track that's been produced by Timbaland or the Neptunes. At first, I dug the freshness of their sound - but, now, because I *can* recognize their influence - even though I don't listen to alot of hip hop - it's getting wearing. It's still better than 99% of stuff I hear, but I wish they could mix it up and surprise me.

  2. jameson says the man knows what he's doing, that's for sure. Now, I just wanted to say that I thought Common's last album _Be_ was SICK! And it was produced by JDilla and Kanye. Anyway. That's what makes music great, we all have different ears and different opinions. Welcome to Mog, bro!

  3. PretiFknTite says I agree. Timbaland and Missy's whole camp was a unstoppable especailly when Aaliyah was still here. His beats are classics now. Like Missy's "I can't stand the rain" or Aaliyah "Are u that somebody?". When u hear that BeatBoxin u know thats a Timbaland beat. The only thing different now is that what's hot in the club is seen as "Good music". For ex. I love "this is why I'm hot" by M.I.M.S... BUT only in the club..It's not a song that I want to hear 15 times an hour because he's not saying s*it but shoutouts. One group that had alot of different styles and producers is WuTang Clan. They all had their own style and delivery. So I truly feel u. Music just ain't what it used to be. P.S. I do have a song with Nas produced by the NEPTUNES it's called "The Flyest" it's preti raw. It's nice to see how Nas' street flow mixes in with the Neptunes futuristic sound.
