My ex is the first person to introduce me to this band. A "Jam Band" was the term that he used, one track and I was hooked. Of course, they are in no way a new band or unheard by many, I only know that on a dark night, in a dark room, this is the music that I tend to gravitate toward.

    Melinda says That's okay, I'll go the old fashioned route and buy the cd. Will eventually anyway! First time on itunes was yesterday, kid in a candy store. Will be upgrading the old laptop soon just to make room for all of the music.(Laughing gleefully)

    contrabandwidth says It's funny, I have every album, but I have never once seen a Kyuss video. When I discovered them, they had broken up, but I found a promo of "Sky Valley" and it hit me like a tom of bricks. I thought, where has this band been all my life? QOTSA is pretty good too, but nothing beats Kyuss. I did get to see Queens play with Dave Grohl on drums, which was cool and I got to meet them too. I of course was the doofus, "Yeah, I really love Kyuss." Nick Oliveri than says "Cool (or Great)" and drank a handle of whiskey.

    etcvisitor says kyuss is always awesome... im with pimp though, its definitely stoner metal. really sludgy droney bluesy stuff... ive been listening to another stoner metal band called "om" a lot lately as well as the band that they were in before called "sleep". these guys are way sludgier than kyuss but its still really slow yet rocking stuff. you might want to check them out.

    Melinda says I love this band. My ex actually incorporated the "Kyuss" into his son's middle name. Yes, a cover would have been awesome, even still, give into one of their songs and it is all uphill from there.
