The new Damien Rice album is the the last CD I bought. I highly recommend it for slow, chill, depressing mode. 2 cents!

  1. theyouthcard says I hated his earlier album, mainly because I hated walking into bars all over the world and hearing some drunk oaf with a guitar trying to impress some girls in the front with a damien rice song (probably hate him even more cos it worked) But also being from Ireland myself, He was huge over here so there were loads of copycats of him. These little miserable warblers, telling me about how emotional and desperate their lives were would be everywhere to the point that i was forced to bring a distortion pedal around with me everywhere just to see if they knew what it was!!! "look! you can push this pedal with your foot and it can help you CHEER THE FUCK UP!!!!!!!!" ahem anyways when the new albuym came out i skipped it for the first few weeks until my brother (who usually doesnt like anything) camer to me telling me that it was great so i gave it a listen and Damn it! It is a great album, very depressing, true but thats the point and Hey! You gotta love a guy who can release a single that has him screaming "FUCK YOU" over and over again at the top of his voices and still hear every radio dj jism all over himself to heap praise on it. True Story I was on a bus a few weeks ago when the song came on the radio and the chorus kicks in "FUCKYOUFUCKYOUFUCKYOU". This little kid in front of me turns to his mom and says "He's saying fuck a lot mommy" and the Mother replies "I know but its alright its Damien Rice"!!?!?!! NOW DOES THAT MAKE A LICK OF SENSE?? For me it shows how he can do anything in Ireland and get away with it!!
