Until yesterday I only knew Emily Haines from her Broken Social Scene work. Kristiana mentioned her and Metric in a post and I took this as a sign that I'd better get to know Emily Haines better.
Heard the Metric cover of Elliott Smiths' Between The Bars........and I was convinced. Found the video on youtube and while I was there I found this this video of her covering the old Buffalo Springfield song Expecting To Fly.
I don't know what to say! I'll promise to do my next Canada-post about a male artist.......just so you don't think I've gotten all soft because of Feist and Emily.

The first exposure I ever had to Elliott was Jem's short film. I immediately fell in love with "Between The Bars". Everything after was a disappointment. But I still haven't got my hands on Erin's recommendation...
