...My Uncle Barry sent me some (burned) CDs from Montreal. Barry has pretty excellent taste in music....Best of the bunch: a comp of raggae + dub tracks by the Clash. I generally don't go for their punk stuff but this is awesome. Listening to it every morning when I get up at 0530....Other: Thom Yorke: "The Eraser". Stops just short of being too obscure. This is going to make me go back + track down some Radiohead....Arcade Fire "Neon Bible". I finally get it (three years later). Mind you some of it is a bit too baroque for constant play (I am a simpleton)....Bob Dylan "Modern Times". Or "Sixty-year-old-croaking-multi-millionaire-divorced-troubadour-post-millenium blues". In other words, there's not a whole lot for me to relate to here. I read "Chronicles" (sp?) a couple of years ago + it kicked so much ass... dude should give up the music for a bit + concentrate on book writing... knock out a few more Chronicles before he dies. ...Fact: I haven't bought any new music since coming to Korea almost a year ago. I've got a list of discs I'm planning to pick up when I get home in a few months... More on this later, I suppose....Cheers....Matt S
