Was there a time when Paul Butterfield Blues had an African American woman singing. I think it was them I saw once on a VHS copy of a concert from the Filmore with Bill Graham (and Sha-na-na.) If so, the singer was awesome!
Only woman I can think of who sang with Butterfield was Maria Muldaur.
This is funny- I just bookmarked this concert earlier tonight so that I can listen tomorrow. The BBB were so magnificent in this period...Bloomfield sounds incredible.
