Ha ha - this is interesting! Alvin Lee used to live a few miles up the road from here (maybe he still does) in a hotelier's mansion and I used to go up there all the time. From him I learned what it means to be a rock star: a seperate room each for the stereo, the TV and living, the tenant farmers on your property, the commercial vegetable gardens, the studio in the barn....It had 40 rooms and though he was talking about his friend George Harrison up the road (100 room house according to Alvin), he made the wonderful observation that even though it ws big, he was always giving stuff away because the house was full. "You think you've always got more room, then one day you discover it's full."
