Track:
1. Hole, "Violet." When they get what they want they never want it again.
2. Stone Temple Pilots, "Interstate Love Song." They were compared negatively to Pearl Jam, except Pearl Jam never made a record this good. Of course, neither did STP.
3. Alison Krauss, "When You Say Nothing At All." She gets a spot in heaven just for this, her greatest performance.
4. The Pretenders, "I'll Stand by You." Chrissie has the ability to make schmaltz sound OK.
5. TLC, "Waterfalls." A good year for soul music.
6. Boyz II Men, "I'll Make Love to You." See #5.
7. Bush, "Glycerine." There sure were a lot of guys over-emoting in those days, weren't there? Can't help myself, I love this one.
8. Nirvana, "Where Did You Sleep Last Night?" Kurt waits until the last verse before he over-emotes.
9. Live, "Lightning Crashes." Ed Kowalczyk never puts off the over-emoting. Like I say, a good year for emotional white guys.
10. Nate Dogg and Warren G, "Regulate." No over-emoting here.

There must have been some thought that POMO rock was gonna save the world at this point. Living in Chicago XRT radio made you think Rawk was for real (even if I couldn't stand Live)as a pop contender,,,that changed pretty quick without Nirvana around to lift everybodies boat. Nice one.
1994 - the year white dude rawkers got in touch with their feeeeeeelings.
