Here are the tweets I sent out during tonight's Sonic Youth concert:
7:48: Inside fox theater waiting for sonic youth
8:11: Opening act yawn so far
9:10 almost time for sy
9:17: Kim gordon older than me still wears the heck out of a miniskirt
9:29: fox theater beautiful but sound sux
9:48: Do they care there's an audience?
9:51: Secret weapon: 6th member of the band, Strobe Light Operator.
10:07: strobe has little effect on band members because they rarely move (the people, that is ... Ok, thurston shakes his head)
10:21: End of main set
10:28: Crappy sound overwhelms their few nods to pop, making them the noise band of their (sonic) youth.
10:32: End of first encore
10:46: Going out with a monstrous bang!
10:51: Done
