I don't want to cloud this post up with to many words but I was listening to Minneapolis' listener supported radio station 89.3 the Current this last weekend. (which I rarely do) This tingles my spine for some reason. This train done rolled over me. Enjoy!

I love this. She even coughs during the song..making it even that much more intimate.

I have a few mp3s from last year's Springtime Can Kill You but I could never get into those songs. This sounds entirely different. Good stuff.

Pretty. Sweet. Awww. ;-) That song reminds me of a softer Michelle Shocked, kind of. Hope you survived the storm last night. I got soak on the way back from a show.

LMI, what show? I was hunkered down in the basement actually working on this mog thread when the storm was rolling thru. That was some crazy thunder and lightning. I had a few beers so I was stumbling around the house closing the windows so the rain would not blow in the house.

Erin, glad you like.

My gentleman friend wanted to go see Stan Ridgeway (Wall of Voodoo) at the Varsity.

i love that you mention her coughing during the recording -- i'm a big fan of those kind of details, too. coughing, sighing, the creak of a piano bench or the floor - even songs that count off, start, and then have to re-count and start again. such great intimacy. wonderful song!

LMI..oi, not familiar with Stan or Voodoo. :( Should I be? I have not been to the Varsity yet, but will be catching at least 1 maybe two shows there in the next month or so. Aliens and Do Make Say Think.

Ngtivspace, Like that you focus on that as well. Sometimes those moments can be fun and lend themselves well to this style of music.

dragonflyMay, Glad to inform you. It sounds like a few people on this thread were not seeing this train coming either.
