  3. Marigold says Maybe so people like Lizzie do not get confused we could call it moginity insead of virginity. :P

  4. The Serenity Vortex says lol!! May I suggest Mogirginity? Moginity has been used for the infinity of MOG in terms of diversity of posts and music. I have a feel feeling we will end up with our own MOG speak like leet (1337) speak. Or maybe even a wiki guide of MOG slang.......

  5. Marigold says Good points as usual TBF. I had not considered a possible conflict with my term. Aggreed, Mogirginity it is. I would prefer that the mog community try to avoid using numbers in our slang if at all possible...or is it already to L8 for us?

  6. goodmusiconly says WOW, that is too weird ... I just made reference to that Radiohead/Belly show last week! ("*here*":http://mog.com/Mike_the_Knife/blog_post/90696) How long were you in Denver? Where did you go to art school? ... CIA or RMCAD? And I have to ask - did you ever see the local band Twice Wilted?

  9. Marigold says Goodmusiconly, You missed them? OUCH! The show was good. But the show earlier that year where they headlined at the Fox up in Boulder to this day is one of the best shows I have ever seen. They ripped the roof off the joint. It was a magical night for sure. Jeff will aggree. It was insane. It makes sense that the Glen Miller ballroom messed the headliner up....look how they spelled Radiohead on the damn ticket. lol. At least irony has bit Belly in the ass! Where are they now? Who the hell cares. Jeff and I were in Denver July of 93 to about October of 96. We both attended CIA. It was a blast. Some of the best times. Never caught Twice Wilted. Dale, It was no less then an awesome show. I am so glad I got to see them while they were around. It gives me a sonshine smile just thinking about it. Rawk, I think I will let you start that post on your mog. :)

  10. goodmusiconly says yeah, that was a major ouch moment ... terrible! Seeing them at the Fox, wow ... that must've been amazing. I am green. I went to CIA, too ... in 88. I used to live at the Courtyard apartments on 9th and Lincoln! I was studying interior design there, but I later left and studied graphic design at MSC. Small world. Twice Wilted was one of the best local bands Denver ever had ... too bad!

  11. Marigold says I lived on Logan and whatever the cross street that CIA was on. If I remember right, the local public school administration building was right behind my appartments. I remember when the teachers went on strike and all the striking teachers hanging out by my apartments. I was there for Graphic Design....and I now work in the Tradeshow industry. But I still get to pay on my student loans so it is nice to be reminded of the great times I had back then as I still pay for it now.

  12. The Serenity Vortex says Marigold: lol!! nah, I think MOG is safe from that, most of us kan evin speil :)

  13. goodmusiconly says yeah, that was just a block away, on 9th. hah, that school was no cheap ride ... it took me so long to pay off those loans! Oh, the memories ... not quite sure how I got _any_ schoolwork done...

  14. Marigold says I think I spent about 3/4 of the time being stoned. I slept the other 1/4 of the time. I somehow managed a "B" average.

  15. goodmusiconly says kudos, sir. I too, familiarized myself with fine art of partying - performing experiments in sleep deprivation and the cause-affect relationship between loud music and deafness. All for the sake of the scientific research and creative endeavor, of course.

  17. Lizziegreeneyes says *fistula* ... what does _*your*_ DU stand for, mine is Drew ???
    Permalink posted 07/10/2007
  18. fistula spume says Denver University. It was ridiculous. Like $25k for one year. Who is Drew???
    Permalink posted 07/10/2007
  19. Marigold says Fistula, I remember when I first started going to CIA I stayed in the University of Denver's dorms. Dorms did not work for me and I got out as soon as I could and got into an apartment.

  20. Lizziegreeneyes says Drew is some guy I paid $25k a year to... it's a college in Northern New Jersey. But it too was $25k a year... I got the loans to prove it ;) Drew was so dang small - really no one lived off campus. That was actually something I kinda liked - but it was always genius going to visit friends at other schools & checking out their digs...

  21. fistula spume says Marigold: I used to live in a teeny tiny apartment about 4 blocks from CIA. Then I moved to a sweet place at Tudor Manor on I think 12th and Penn. I made good money then too. It was easier in Denver. Plus I got to see some of my favorite musicians when I lived there. Lizzie: Gotcha. Reminds me of Evergreen in Olympia. Never attended there but have visited the facilities to see friends. Drew looks cool. Just took the campus tour and it looked like a fine upstanding liberal arts college. Very nice.

  22. Lizziegreeneyes says I am especially fond of the trees & two pondy lakey things we have on the campus ;) I am dying to get back there... haven't been since I graduated & I have no real excuse - it's 2 1/2 hour drive... gotta get my ass in gear & go. I miss the place :) Olympia Washington ? I lived near Walla Walla for 7 years. I think that's why I am so totally comfortable on either coast - best friend from WI - could easily see myself there - Some of the south... Texas was a bit hard to swallow - but I would love to see Austin... I was not fortunate enough to see it when I went back in college.

  26. Marigold says YEAH! But I have not seen them since. grr. I just wish that when they come to America they would play more the 6 shows in the the three biggest cities nowadays. When is the last time they actually "toured" America?
    Permalink posted 07/11/2007
  27. kaleef says i don't know, i saw them at bonnaroo '06! but i don't think they were technically "touring." that was perty spectacular tho (and may i add the best bonnaroo as of yet...) i've come to terms with prolly never seeing them again, i really can't stand large arenas, it's the people that drive me nuts, usually zero humanity!

  28. soulrocket says $25k a year is a lot of money... public university goes for $200 a year here, and its the best.
