WHERE MUSIC LISTENS TO YOU

Side B.

Posted about 1 year ago
A long white coated person in the state of Washington sent me a sweet mix tape and a cool t-shirt from a local brewery! How sweet is that? Oh, I can not forget the sweet beer mug that grows in water after 72 hours! Mmmmm yummy.Second, I got a pretty dang sweet Secret Santa gift from Steve Simon. We do not know each other well, but we broke the ice and chit chatted a bit. He sent me a grouping of several local indie bands from Indianapolis, IN. It is much appreciated. I look further to getting to know Steve better over the next year.Overall the common theme between the two is Local! I love seeing people talking up their local. Thanks you two!As for the rest of you, I just want to say that this is not my comfort zone for sending out thanks. The people out there who really make me tick already know who they are. But all of you are special to me. Thanks moggers.First vinyl for me this year you may ask? Why not start with a side b? Side b of Jason Collett’s Idols of Exile. If the line. "I love it when my girlfriend calls me a cock sucking faggot" does not get your attention from the track Pink Night, nothing will. Jason Collett blows (tee hee) the roof off the joint with this track. This is one of the most perfect rock records I have heard in the last few years. I sure hope the side B of my first year of MOG is just as enjoyable as side A. At this rate it is looking to be at least a 4 sided LP and I am loving every minute of it. Side note: I am going to be adding more thoughts in the comments of this post over the next couple days. If interested. Keep checking into this thread.

  5. Augusts1 says What a f'n haul! So who's the white coat person in WA? Would that happen to be Amber?

  6. Marigold says Jeff. Go Packers. I am glad the Badgers did not get blown out. They sure had some chances but just could not seal the deal. I always see people in long white coats following me everywhere I go. ;) Andrea. Thanks for the well wishes on a tough loss for my club. August. You got it. Amber. She is so cool. Legally peddling drugs to the masses.

  9. amber says That's me, the white coated, joy speader from WA. :) I couldn't send Mike his beverage of choice, so I sent a tee and one of those grow in water things---remember from when you were a kid. Usually these were dinos or zoo animals. I found a beer mug. *Grows over 6 times in size in 72 hours!* How could I not buy that for Mike? :)

  11. Marigold says Chuck. Amber pretty much got the explenation right. You just put the little beer mug in some water and it gets big in 72 hours. If you take it out of the water it shrinks back up. Dale. Amber is a saint. Amber. It was so nice of you to do. It caught me by surprise. One thing about the mug is it gets all slimy when its big.

  12. Marigold says Sucker Punch by Fujiya & Miyagi. Just a reminder to myself that I might get a few this year and need to just ride it out. Life is not always fair. If I can take the Sucker Punch when life deals them, I know the pain shall pass and things will get better. They just have to, they do not have a choice. Sometimes I think winter is nature's Sucker Punch.
