Ya, dis here cd is reeally good, ya. It gets me to da Saturday ya see. Oh geez, I need to go tell Lena dat it is good. Ya sher ya betcha, I'ma goin to go take a sauna now, ya see coz I'ma from Minnesooooota.Ya see heres da video for To Da East:

    soulrocket says electralane are great. i bought their first 7" back in the mid-90s & recently re-discovered them. ive been playing "no shouts no calls" these days. i wonder how minnesotian accent sounds, maybe there are some recordings on the "acting with an accent" series. you dont want to know how my english sounds.

    Marigold says Danny, I have heard that some of Electrelane's older stuff is not as good? I still intend to check some of the older stuff out, but have not gotten around to it just yet. If you read my initial post out loud that is the exagerated Minnesota accent. However, with your Spanish accented English and then talking like a Minnesotan would be quite interesting to hear. lol. Flux, Thanks for stopping by. Anna and Danny, If you have ever seen the movie Fargo, that is a pretty good interpretation of the exagerated Minnesotan accent.

    Marigold says not sure if you watched any of the videos from my beer trip post about a month ago. I do some talking in that there thing if you have not seen it. I am sure I have a bit of an accent but I am not sure how much. I supose someone from down south in Kentucky might think I have an accent. aye?

    Marigold says no subtitles were needed? Well that is good to hear. I tend to have a more understandable accent while drunk. lol. I aggree it would be fun to hear some people's accents. I really want to hear soulrocket's Spanish accent while reading the Minnesota accent stuff I typed earlier. That would be a good to hear. Is there such a thing as a greek accent?

    Marigold says ha. good stuff. You do have a bit of an accent and it is pretty bitchen! You should have seen my co-workers look in my direction when they heard my computer (your voice in this case) said Mike. It was was pretty funny, they said why is that girl saying your name. It was priceless. Now can you do another one...here is what l want you to say: "Mike you look so sexy when you do that thing with the beer mug." LOL I am just got done kicking a cold myself I hope you kick yours. Mine lasted about 2 weeks. It was terrible. Everyone here seems to be getting this nasty 2 week cold. Get well.

    soulrocket says that was great, ana. very schooled. im afraid i cant say the same. i learned all my english on the streets, which means first thing i learned was to swear, ask for a beer & the name of the next door dealer.. my ex-gf (she is from wales) said i sounded like a dutch on dope, so go figure. i dont have a mic to record myself at the moment but i could prepare something really stupid in the near future. i wont dissapoint.

    HelenMarie says Great Saturday tune-gettin into those piano chords fo sho. Did anyone mention the movie _Fargo_, that's a good 2 hours full of the Minnesotian accent and movie wierdness. How cool was that hearing Anna's voice!!! It'd be interesting to hear just about everyone's voices after chatting with keyboard clicks and taps for so long. Cool post here Marigold! *: )*

Almost everything is a just bit more fun with a buzz (I always _try_ not to over do it, though it's hard once we've started-drinking that is) You've got quite a few comments up here so I just tried to scan through, should've figured you'd mention fargo. I live in the great land of no-accent, but if I dug back a bit, I could still pull out a California surfer-dude accent, if I really wanted to. And I am SO JEL that I have to come to your post to hear Anna's voice for the first time. If she wasn't my twin sister, I'd be experiencing severe swoonage!

    Marigold says I am not familiar with Prefab Sprout...thus my confusion. Dont worry it is all me on this one. But yes, Electrelane is an all female group. Glad you liked and thanks for stopping by. Like your Packers over Vikes pick. However, I am a little nervous with the Pack. This is a game they should win....so it could be a trap game and they could lose. Actually, if they win this week...that will give me a little confidence that the Pack is maybe for real. <<< see, just "maybe" for real. I am still a doubting Packer fan, I know. It has just been some lean years as of late and I do not want to get my hopes up to high.

There was a time when he couldn't win in a dome. But I think he's over that. And should be with this years team, i hope.

It is great front to back and I had an extremely hard time picking a song to post for this one. Here is another one for you. It is the opening track and pretty much smokes me everytime. ~awE6wNjjS7S.mp3~ As for the accents. Keep an eye out on Anna's page. When she is feeling better, she is going to create a voice post where the plan is to record our voices for fun. You may have busted me. I do not really have that much of a Minnesotan accent. I may have exagerated a bit on this post. :)
