January 30th BANGER: HANG THE DJ@Middle East, Cambridge
Excited about this one, I love the Middle East and have had a few memorable nights there. Hercules & Love Affair this past fall comes to mind. This show is straight up electronic dance music and I haven't really been to a show/dance party like that in a while. ROGUEWAVES, aka Justin Cameron and Zack Broman, are slowly becoming my go to guys for new electro stuff via the fabulous blogsite, onthattip.info. February 24th THIEVERY CORPORATION@House of Blues on Lansdowne St, Boston
Up in the air. Boston seems like a dead zone come February. I like Thievery Corporation but I have my doubts. With a mix of exotic dancers, musical instruments I can't pronounce and a dj set, this may be the type of performance art I need to spice up a dry and depressing month. However, this show can quickly turn sour if the crowd becomes overly hippyish. I could do without.
March 22nd CUT COPY@House of Blues on Lansdowne St, Boston
Just bought my tix yesterday, THIS WILL BE SOLD OUT! Get'em now while you can. I can't really remember how or who introduced me to this band but however it happened, I'm more than grateful because they're right up my alley. Their live performance seems pretty fun, although I am just a tad skeptical, lead singer Dan Whitford has somewhat of a strange demeanor onstage. Perhaps its just that whole put-your-hands-up-and-praise-jesus sort of thing he does.
April 5th SEBASTIEN TELLIER@ Paradise Rock Club, Boston
Yeah. The record you see at American Apparel. I know. But his stuff is not bad and hopefully will be worth checking out. This is more up in the air as finals draw near. I'll keep you posted.

i'm actually most jealous that you saw hercules & love affair. i've been enjoying the album lately and every time i listen to it i think of you and picture you pullin' them shapes on the dance flo. you know like we used to. ahhh to be young again!
haha not as obsessed as i was with CRYSTAL CASTLES. that was straight up ignant. You know they're restarting Happy endings up again? it's 21+ to my dismay. i was very disappointed. i miss our dancefloor domination :(
