Last night at the Leeds festival Hope of the States announced their intention to quit touring. This weekend's festivities would be among their last. The bands future is still up in the air.

That is a bummer. Didn't their guitarist kill himself right after Lost Riots? I thought that was a pretty compelling mess of a record and still like it a lot. Is Left any good?

The guitarist, Jimmi Lawrence, committed suicide in the studio during recording of The Last Riots. I think it was all down hill from there, emotionally. Since I composed my post the band has confirmed their split. The few songs I have heard from Left are pretty good. Admittedly not the best work in current music, but still not bad.
