In 2001, when The Atari's released _End Is Forever_ I thought to myself, it's possible that they may have finally hit puberty. Then in 2003, they released _So Long Astoria_ which to me is just a fantastic "coming of age" album. Finally, The Ataris have returned after 4 years and released a record, _Welcome the Night_. Do you all remember when Silverchair basically just added a small symphony to their band (i.e. _Diorama_ & _Neon Ballroom_ )? Yup, thats what The Ataris did. ...And it works perfectly, I seriously hope they do not regress back. I can honestly say (if you heard anything off this new record) that I don't think you'll even recognize that it's them. It's that different. It's also a much more "indie" & artsy feel to it. Seriously, if you're bored check it out if you haven't already. Allmusic.com gave the record 3 stars out of 5 and that is just criminally wrong. This is a 4 star or 4 and a half star record! Here is a video that user made for World of Warcraft using "The Cheyenne Line" by The Ataris. This wasn't really one of the top songs I would have wanted to showcase from this album, but this was the best one on YouTube.

Wow, I haven't thought of the Ataris probably since I was going through awkward adolescence myself. They sound all 'growed' up! This song is reminding me of another band that I cannot think of and it's going to drive me nuts! Hopefully it will dawn on me...
