How else do we honor Kurt Cobain, but by marketing the shoe he killed himself in with his name on it. Yes, Converse will release a new limited edition series of shoes decorated with the late Nirvana frontman's drawings and writing from his 2002 book Journals. The kicks are out this May.
The Kurt Cobain Converse have gotten the full OK and approval of his widow, Courtney Love, unlike last year's Dr. Martens campaign which tried to use Kurt Cobain's image to hype up their shoe, without the estate's approval.

On a morbid note, the black One Tops (pictured above), are similar to the one's Cobain was wearing when he committed suicide in 1994.

I once saw a picture of Kurt wearing one of his homemade shirts that said, "Punk rock means freedom (to appropriate someones name and words in order to sell shoes)." At the time I just thought it was some sort of catchy slogan... Who woulda thought I'd live to see the day that I could partake of such improved consumer products.

Hmmm... Another way for Court to cash in. Poor Frances. Wonderful how Kurt has a voice in all of this. I know everyone's name succumbs to some form of propaganda when they die and make it as far as they did... But come on... Let a guy rest in peace already--- Wonder what Dave has to say about all of this.
Way too morbid in my personal opinion.
