Sammy Hagar To Tour Through 2008

Sammy Hagar will be heading back out on tour following his annual birthday bash at his Cabo San Lucas tequila watering hole, Cabo Wabo Cantina. The tour will commence in October (Hagar's bday is October 13th) and stop in 60 cities before winding down July 12, 2008, in St. Louis, MO. Former Van Halen bassist Michael Anthony's Mad Anthony Express will join Hagar on tour performing Van Halen numbers and rock classics. Hagar's Los Tres Gusanos band will cover RedRocker - another one of his side projects - early songs, and Hagar and Anthony will then close out the shows as The Other Half (of Van Halen), playing Hagar era Van Halen tunes - all this definitely postponing the chances of a real Van Halan reunion will not happen for another two years.Sammy Hagar and Eddie Van Halen in better daysThe news of Hagar's tour comes on the heels of the Livin' It Up! In St. Louis DVD release last week. The DVD was captured during Hagar's and the Wabos tour in support of Livin' It Up last year.The dates will be announced in the coming months.
