Ex-Concretes Singer Records Solo Debut

Former Concretes singer Victoria Bergsman is doing it solo. The Swedish crooner has recorded her one-woman debut, Open Field under the alias Taken By Trees. Okay, so Vikki’s not doing it all by herself. Fellow Swedes Bjorn Yttling and John Eriksson (both of Peter, Bjorn and John) contribute to tracks and Electrelane's Verity Susman lended her chops and piano skills on some tracks. The album is co-produced by Eriksson and Bergsman.Open Field will be out in the UK on Rough Trade, June 18th but no USA release dates have been announced.
