Despite the fact the Stone Temple Pilots will reunite and play, the first time in seven years, this summer at the Rock on the Range festival, frontman Scott Weiland has entered rehab for the ...okay we lost count...time. Weiland reportedly checked himself into Velvet Revolver Wednesday (Feb. 6) in Los Angeles, Weiland checked into an undisclosed rehab facility after February 6th's gig with Velvet Revolver in Los Angeles. 1. Edmund Frost Booth says Can Scott Weiland ever be better? Sure, I know you are referring to his drug habit, but this guy penned "Plush." That would be the penultimate point of any musicians career. I think to be fair to the rest of the music world, Scott should take it upon himself to only go down. You know, to even out the playing field, to say, "Hey guys, I'm no God-figure. I'm a normal Joe like the rest of you." He could write a few bad songs, and maybe date a second-rate star and attain some sort of goofy moniker that combines his name with hers. Maybe that lucky lady would be Abby Cameron (softcore and bondage star of such classics as The Position III: Hogtie Heaven and Girl/Girl Bondage 2). They could have a really cute name. Scott and Abby equals Scabby or even Scabies. He has reached the heights of stardom (you can't argue that Velvet Revolver was not his crowning moment - ie: the best band in Rock N' Roll History, ever (Beatles fans, Rolling Stones fans, Elvis fans, Radiohead fans, U2 fans, Grateful Dead fans, Velvet Underground fans, Led Zeppelin fans, Ramones fans, Pink Floyd fans, Bob Marley fans, and Sly and the Family Stone fans - You don't count in this argument, as well as fans of any other band that ever existed). So thank you, Mr. Weiland for showing us little people that you're only human. Get well in rehab and return to us. We'll take you with "arms wide open." Maybe you and Scott Stapp could even start a Christian Rap band. Think of the possibilities. When you've done it all, what is there to do next? Aside from Crystal Meth... Think about it. Both Scotts. It could be cool.

  2. GrittyMcScruff says Hopefully rehab works this time around. I saw velvet last year and they put on a hell of a show eventhough I'm not close to being a fan of their material. Hes can still sing. The highlights for me were def the GNR and STP covers. Hopefully STP will stay reunited and just Tour the first 3 albums. Please nothing new!!! Scott seems to have lost the ability to write good music. Plus Velvet does not showcase their amazing rythym section as it should. Lets see a GNR/STP Tour. That would certainly be worth my money. Sometimes you have to admit defeat and stop writing music just for the sake of putting out new material. I dont think anyone at the VR show was there for VR material. Best case would have been a set of covers.

This is gonna be a great reunion. Its rumored STP will do Ozzfest with Filter. So does that mean Army of Anyone will play at Ozzfest too? Either way, with Wei-lands alcohol issues and this, I don't see VR being together much longer.
