Morcheeba To Tour North America

Dive Deep, Morcheeba's follow-up to 2005's The Antidote is out on Ultra Records February 5th, 2008. To celebrate the new release the trip-hop duo will embark on a quick tour of North America beginning March 24th in Washington D.C..

For Dive Deep Morcheeba, recreated their signature smooth sounds with a whole slew of guest vocalists, picking up where former lead singers Skye Edwards and Daisy Martey left off, including singer-songwriter Judie Tzuke, Norwegian Thomas Dybdahl, rapper Cool Calm Pete, and French up-and-coming singer Manda.

  1. Hermes says I like the video, but the song is only average IMHO. I'm liking their first album, which is said to be under strong influence of Massive Attack still most. Afterwards they turned their back to real TripHop and went more "poppy" what can be seen, or better said hear, in this video quite clear. I have been twice on concerts of Morcheeba. The first concert took place in the Mojo club 1997 in Hamburg, after they had released their first album somewhen in '96. That was great, the Godfrey brothers looked stoned as hell and Skye Edwards was incredible. The second concert was already much more "mainstreamed" in a big concert hall a few years later in Munich with hundrets of people. The atmosphere was totally different and for me that was not original Morcheeba any more, also musically they already had entered the more "poppy" path then, which doesn't satisfy me as "Who can you trust" did, though there are a few very excellent song on the second or third album.
