Britney Spears Taken To Hospital; Put On Psychiatric Hold

The saga that is Britney Spears' life just got crazier. If you haven't heard the news on CNN, the judicial system has found Britney Spears mental and ordered her on a psychiatric hold for the next three days, which possibly might be extended to 14 days. Well, perhaps "mental" is a bit of an overstatement, or is it?The drama began just after 4AM, when an ambulance and enforcement - "a motor brigade of cops on motorcycles":http://link.brightcove.com/services/link/bcpid285859616/bclid294430730/bctid1398215441 - escorted Spears to UCLA Medical Center where she was placed on a 5150 hold. In normal speak, 5150 means Spears' poses a danger to herself and others (by her driving habits).According to "TMZ.com":http://www.tmz.com/, Britney, code named "The Package" on police radio, fully cooperated. The whole operation was to go down the night before, but was aborted until early this morning. The FCC even cleared the airspace en route to the hospital. Before the paramedics arrived, Spears' psychiatrist informed her that she was going to the hospital, after which she replied, "Is something wrong?" The Spears' clan showed up at the hospital, where Spears' was reportedly calm and given a cigarette break. However, now there is a bitter battle between the family and Spears' "manager" Osama Lufti over who makes the medical decisions on her behalf. Spears reportedly signed this right over to Lufti, and her family are freaking out that some outside source is controlling their daughter.
