Alright Weezer fans, get your bookmarks ready. Speaking with Gigwise last week frontman Rivers Cuomo admitted that he is getting carried away with his memoirs and lovin' it. Originally slated for some 400 pages (no quick read by any means), Cuomo's memoirs are piling up to 8 tomes. “I’ve quite a lot of material collected now, I’m still working on most every day and I really enjoy it." Cuomo recently recently released a solo album of rarities and old school demos called Alone: The Home Recordings Of Rivers Cuomo."Right now I have eight volumes sketched out," Cuomo revealed. "The first book to be released will be 92-94, which is the first few years of the band but I’m also working on an earlier volume dealing with my childhood and also my parents childhood.â€A deal is reportedly on the table with one publisher for the first volume. In other news, Cuomo played a charity soccer hosted by US soccer star Mia Hamm over the weekend in California. The charity supported the National Marrow Donor Program Registry and included other celebs like SNL's Andy Samburg, Heroes star Milo Ventimiglia, pro skateboarder Tony Hawk, Extreme Makeover: Home Edition's Ty Pennington and actress Elizabeth Shue. Cuomo reportedly scored a goal and was "having some groin issues":http://sidelineviews.blogspot.com/2008/01/quotes-from-celebrity-soccer-challenge.html but still had fun. The closest we could get to a snapshot of Cuomo in uniform is below. Go #26!!!
