Secret Machines Recording Third Album

NYC psych-band the Secret Machines is currently in th e studio recording their third full-length album for Reprise Records, which will be released in2008. The band, who lost guitarist, Benjamin Curtis to the band School of Seven Bells, has enlisted new guitarist Phil Karnats, who they know from their pre-NYC days in Dallas, Texas. Benjamin and Phil played together in Tripping Daisy and later in the band When Babies Eat Pennies. Phil and drummer Josh Garza also played in a band together called 1919 Summit. The trio enlisted producer/engineer Brandon Mason (David Bowie and VHS OR BETA) and is recording at The Magic Shop studio, and will later mix the album with him at famed Electric Lady studios in New York."Lightning Blue Eyes"
