Serj Tankian Releasing Videos For Each Track Off Solo Album

System Of A Down frontman Serj Tankian's debut solo effort, Elect the Dead, is due October 23rd. The enigmatic singer will post a different video directed by a different video and film director, painter, and digital artist for each. The videos will premiere on Tankian's Web site www.serjtankian.com and other still-to-be-determined outlets.
For me, the great pleasure of Elect the Dead has been not only to make the record with the pure vision of what I feel artistically through my music and poetry, but also to multiply the art factor by bringing in other great artists, in this case directors, and putting forth their interpretations of my music and words. This serves twofunctions: to create more art from the original source, the album, and to offer more than just a CD to people interacting with the music, thus giving us more points of connection with each other."Some of the talented involved in the project include Oscar-nominatedPuerto Rican playwright and screenwriter Jose Rivera (The MotorcycleDiaries), music video director Tony Petrossian (Taking Back Sunday,Slipknot, Avenged Sevenfold) and digital artist Roger Kupelian (The Lord of theRings; Flags of Our Fathers).The full list of directors and visionaries involved in each of Elect The Dead's tracks are as follows:1.
