WATCH: Neutral Milk Hotel's Jeff Mangum Performs For First Time in 10 Years

Posted about 2 years ago

Neutral Milk Hotel frontman Jeff Mangum isn't exactly the most public personality, which is to say he doesn't just avoid the spotlight, he hides from it. So when he performs live, it's kind of a big deal. Case in point: last night, he played for the first time in 10 years at the Chris Knox benefit event at Le Poisson Rouge in NYC, where he went through five beloved Neutral Milk Hotel cuts, and got the crowd going.

Here's a list of the songs Mangum played in the short set, along with some fan vids from Youtube:

"Oh Comely"
"A Baby for Pree"/"Where You'll Find Me Now"
"Two Headed Boy Pt. 2"
"In the Aeroplane Over the Sea"
"Engine"

    "So who does that song?"

    "Jeff Mangum"

"Why don't you shut the fuck up and let him do it then?"
