Even though Julian Casablancas had some cynical, depressing thoughts on the band's future, it appears that the Strokes have finally kissed and made up, so much so that they're back in the studio with a pretty darn impressive name. If the name Joe Chiccarelli doesn't ring a bell, it should: the man is responsible for albums by everyone from Beck to the Shins to the U2 to, most recently, My Morning Jacket, so you know the man has both taste and vision, two things the Strokes will need to help get back on top. Not much else is known at this time other than that the band is recording in their native New York City, and according to their official site, they'll be posting some studio clips in the near future. Let the anticipation begin!
