On Sunday, July 25th SF Weekly is hosting the All Shook Down Music Festival in San Francisco's North Beach neighborhood, and we're here to tell you everything you need to know about the event!

First, we couldn't be more excited to say that Janelle Monae and Neon Indian are headlining. Secondly, know that more than 30 other acts are scheduled to perform throughout the day, giving you plenty of options. In addition to the headliners, there are also plenty of local artists we're looking forward to seeing live.

Neon Indian - [Outdoor Stage 6:00-7:00p]
Neon Indian's Alan Palomo had a buzzworthy 2009, with the release of his debut album, Psychic Chasms, which combined lo-fi, analog aesthetics with equal parts electronic, pop and indie rock. If you missed his tour late last year -- or even if you've already seen him live -- now is the perfect time to check out this star in the making.

Janelle Monae - [Outdoor Stage 4:20-5:30p]
Janelle Monae has enjoyed a successful 2010 so far, gaining critical acclaim and commercial attention for her debut album, The ArchAndroid, which is about as progressive as a pop album gets these days. Her energetic stage shows have been oft-discussed for much of the year, and certainly won't disappoint.

Citay [Columbus Cafe 7:00-8:00p]
San Francisco psych-pop rockers Citay have been together since 2004, garnering acclaim left and right from indie critics. Fans have long loved their textured guitar riffs, beach-pop influences, and sprawling instrumental sections. But now that they've released their new album, Dream Get Together, the band is taking the show on the road, and you'll have the chance to check them out live.

Ty Segall [Columbus Cafe 9:00-10:00p]
Ty Segall and his brand of experimental, lo-fi, psychedelic garage rockers has been oft-discussed in Bay Area circles for awhile now, gaining some exposure from prominent media outlets. Now with a full backing band behind him, Segall's unique vision of '60s pop should translate a good time for concertgoers.

Ghosts On Tape [The Church Key 6:00-8:00p]
Producer Ghosts On Tape has been bubbling in San Francisco's dance scene for a minute now, being one of the first to embrace the tropical/tribal/2-step/funky side of house music. After getting some love in the UK (which includes remix work from UK trendsetter Roska), Ryan Merry is throwing together a set of heavy beats that will have the floor packed.

Odessa Chen [Savoy Tivoli 3:00-4:00p]
Odessa Chen may not be a household name yet, but having worked with the likes of Wilco's Nels Cine it's only a matter of time before the San Francisco folk singer-songwriter gains wider attention. Her latest album, The Ballad of Paper Ships, has received plenty of positive attention, and you'll want to check her out so you can say you saw her perform before she got big.
